The SOMA Enigma Metal Controlled Synthesizer is an experimental instrument for curious sound designers and adventurous performers. Instead of keys or pads Enigma uses a highly sensitive metal-responsive surface that transforms everyday metallic objects into sound. Coins screws gears and tools all interact differently with the interface giving you a tactile way to shape textures rhythms and evolving tones. Movement plays a huge role in performance. Even small shifts in position can change the sound making Enigma feel responsive and unpredictable while still remaining repeatable. Identical movements and placements produce the same sonic results helping you refine ideas through experimentation. Eight touch sensors let you switch between operating states while MIDI note control MIDI clock and CV sync make it easier to connect Enigma with drum machines sequencers and modular gear. Stereo outputs and a headphone connection complete a setup built for immersive exploration.
