The Sonor Orff AM Alto Metallophone is ideal for primary music classes school ensembles and group teaching where durable clear-sounding percussion is essential. It features 16 grey lacquered aluminium sound bars tuned to a C-major scale from C1 to A2 with additional chromatic bars (F#1 Bb1 F#2) included for expanded melodic options. Each bar is made from a specially alloyed aluminium and measures 40mm by 6mm delivering a balanced resonant tone that blends well in group settings. The resonator box is crafted from pine for a natural warm sound. Ready to play straight out of the box it comes complete with mallets making it a practical and accessible choice for educational environments.
