The Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch 14" x 6.5" Snare Drum is suited to drummers wanting focused attack with a warm full-bodied response. Its 6mm shell combines four plies of birch with two inner plies of American black walnut balancing birchs defined attack with the warmer character of walnut. Tamas carefully shaped bearing edge uses a rounded collar that follows the natural shape of the drumhead improving contact between the head and shell to encourage resonance. Die-cast zinc hoops add a sharp solid character to rimshots giving you plenty of definition when you need to cut through a mix. Finished in Garnet Red Sparkle this 14" x 6.5" model also brings a new look to the Starclassic Walnut/Birch range.
