The Thomastik Precision Mandolin String Set is suited to mandolin players wanting clear tone comfortable handling and durable strings. Each string uses a carbon steel core designed for high elasticity and a long working life. The A D and G strings feature highly polished flat-wound chrome steel helping produce a clear brilliant sound while providing a smooth feel under your fingers.The plain E strings use tin plating giving the highest course a construction tailored to its role within the set. Medium tension keeps the strings easy to handle with 7.9 kg tension for the E and 7.0 kg across the A D and G strings. Made for 34 cm scale-length mandolins the strings also feature loop ends for fitting to compatible instruments.
