The Vic Firth Modern Jazz Collection – MJC5 Drumsticks are designed for the modern jazz player. The MJC5 Drumsticks are similar to an 8D featuring a uniquely shaped nylon tip. It features a combination of a barrel and oval tip with a medium taper. This gives these sticks a balanced and focused response. The sticks feature a thicker diameter which results in added weight designed to emphasise and accentuate the ride cymbal. These sticks were never before available to the public. They were developed in collaboration with famous modern Jazz drummers including Jeff Ballard Lewis Nash and Joe McCarthy.
