The World Classic Timbale sticks are also slightly thicker than most timbale sticks which increases the overall weight and strength as well as increasing the projection of sound that they produce. These sticks are constructed from hickory which is denser and more rigid than maple. Hickory sticks produce less flex and can withstand a great deal of shock and stress making them more durable.
