Wittner Double Bass Tailpiece Wire is a solid rope of tailgut made of stainless steel. The benefit of roped steel wire is that it wont suddenly snap like solid steel can. The overall positioning of tailpiece wire can be very important to the sound of your instrument and ensuring your tailgut is of high quality and therefore unlikely to move or break is of utmost importance. Fortunately this Wittner tailgut will perfectly manage the demands of tailpiece wire. This tailgut also uses threaded nuts that make this especially well suited to Wittners Ultra tailpieces.
