The Yamaha Keiko Abe Signature MKA-08 Yarn Wound Mallets are ideal for marimba players looking for a rich resonant tone in the lower registers. Developed with Keiko Abe these mallets feature a yarn head and a very soft core design to draw maximum warmth and depth from the instrument. A dual-core with a 2mm rubber tube enhances touch and expressiveness making it easier to shape dynamic swells and soft textures. With a 430mm rattan shaft the mallets offer a comfortable flexible feel that allows smooth control across a wide range of dynamics. Their heavier build ensures full resonance from each tone bar providing an ideal balance between softness and projection.
