The Gibson Custom 1959 ES-335 Reissue Ultra Heavy Aged captures the feel of a well loved original from the height of the Golden Era. Built with a classic maple poplar maple semi hollow body and solid maple centre block it delivers the airy resonance players expect while keeping feedback under control. Rounded cutaways and a comfortable Medium C mahogany neck profile scanned from vintage examples make the guitar instantly familiar encouraging fluid movement across the fretboard and a relaxed broken in playing feel. Ultra Heavy Aging from the Murphy Lab goes far beyond surface wear recreating decades of hard use in both look and response. The nitrocellulose lacquer is deeply checked and worn hardware is heavily aged and the guitar feels alive straight out of the case. Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups unpotted and wired with period correct components deliver warm cleans rich mids and a vocal bite that reacts beautifully to touch volume changes and driven amplifiers.
