The Warm Audio WA-2MPX Microphone Preamp breathes new life into a classic meticulously recreating the design of an iconic vintage preamp for the modern-day user. Regarded for its signature sound this 351-style preamp was championed by countless legendary artists and engineers regarded for its signature sound and unique tonal character. The two-channel design features dedicated level and gain controls as well as VU metering for each channel. Boasting a fully-discrete design the WA-MPX utilises three high-end tubes per channel for the ultimate analog tonality. The preamp also features onboard Tape Saturation which can be selected and utilised to add harmonic distortion and natural compression. At the heart of the WA-MPX are custom-wound large-core CineMag USA transformers accompanied by retro-style housing with an aluminium faceplate steel chassis and vintage-style rotary knobs. Refine your tone using the integrated Hi-Pass and Low-Pass filters providing precision controls for shaping your sound. Designed for use with virtually any studio microphone the WA-MPX allows you to tap into the distinctive analog warmth that plugins simply cannot achieve.
